Sleigh for Great Britain’s Bobsleigh Team at Sochi 2014

Ahead of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi we had the massive honour of providing our expert metal treatments to Team GB, carrying out a range of metal finishing services on the bobsleigh for the four-man event. It was an exciting project to be involved with and having the opportunity to work on a piece of world-class sporting equipment certainly isn’t something that happens every day!

We completed full pickling and passivation of the brakes and tubes, as well as anodising many internal components and the external body and handles of the sleigh. The clients were appreciative of our work and more than happy with the professional experience offered. We were glued to our TVs during the bobsleigh events that year as Team GB went on to do us all proud!
